PAUL GAUGUIN "WHEN WILL YOU MARRY?" - SOLD!

     In early February 2015 the newspaper "The New York Times", referring to insider sources, reported: well-known "Rudolf Staechelin Family Foundation" sold the rarity of its rich collection - painting "When Will You Marry? (Nafea Faa Ipoipo)"  by Paul Gauguin.

    According to experts, the deal amounted to about $ 300 million and probably the buyer is the Emirate of Qatar. The painting became the most expensive ever sold in the world .

      PABLO PICASSO'S  PAINTING "THE  DREAM  (LA REVE)" SOLD FOR  $ 155 MLN.

    The work became the second value of the world's most expensive paintings after "The Card Players" by Paul Cezanne, which was bought by the Emir of Qatar for $250 mln in 2012.
