OPENING OF EXHIBITION IN HONOUR OF MOSH ANNIVERSARY IN MANEGE

     On June 19, 2012 an opening ceremony of Exhibition in Honor of the 80-th Anniversary of the Moscow Union of Artists (MOSH) was held at Manege Central Exhibition Hall. 
     The exhibition features over 1000 of paintings, drawings, sculptures, works by scenery and production designers, arts and crafts articles, art design works.

IMPRESSIONISM ORIGINS

     To some extent impressionism owes its birth to the society's technical progress. 
   To pass on transient impressions, light and colour nuances, artists have to go out of their workshops to the open air. But until the middle of the XIX century it was difficult to go out with oil paints which were stored in bags made of pigs' bladders.
